The Imperial Cookie is a bit of local celebrity here in Winnipeg. So much more than shortbread and jam, imperial cookies are a distinctly Winnipeg confection with a loose affiliation to the Queen of England. Whether you are a roal watcher or a tourist to Winnipeg, The Imperial Cookie, is a fan favourite because it is a perfect balance between the velvety sweetness of the cookie counteracted with the tartness of the jam. Why not turn this Winnipeg confection into a celebratory shooter. The combination of the Sour Cherry Bomba and the cranberry juice gives you the sense of an all encompassing jam and the flavour that is at the heart of the original cookie. Amaretto brings brings texture to the shot along with the almond undertones of almond extract found in many baked cookies. Together you have the perfect shooter to celebrate a Royal Wedding or any occasion for that matter!
This is a balanced shooter that is not too alcohol forward. It will be a hit whether you are 19 or 90 years old!
