Pączki Polish Donuts

It looks like a donut… but it’s something more. Softer. Richer. A pączek,  pronounced "pohnch-eck", is a Polish delicacy - fried to golden perfection, filled with jam, and dusted with sugar. Unlike an ordinary donut, its dough is enriched with eggs, butter, and spirits, making it impossibly light and indulgent.

For centuries, these pillowy, jam-filled treats have been a symbol of celebration - a final sweet indulgence before fasting begins. And in Poland, on the last Thursday before Lent… pączki aren’t just a treat. They’re a national tradition.
